Looking at changes in organisations

“Different approaches exist for the study of the impact of recent changes in the organisation of primary care.  An argument has been made for the explicit use of a wider range of conceptual lenses to frame research” (Checkland K. ‘Widening the approach to Primary Care’)

Using a different conceptual lens, different questions can be raised about the relationship between organisations and new innovatory services such as NHSD.  The results from research such as this could be used to further understand the connections and complexities that exist between PCTs and other organisations.

“The conscious use of alternative conceptual lenses is a valuable toll for widening and deepening our understanding of the impact of multifaceted change on complex systems” (Checkland K)
